An audit by city controller John Liu finds that the FDNY overpaid the company that handles its dispatch systems by $1 million, according to the New York Daily News reports. The audit found that Purvis Systems overcharged the FDNY. The city had five contracts with the company worth $98 million.
The FDNY; however, disputes these claims, saying they saved more than $13 million on the deal. The Daily News reports that the audit didn't included the city's new 911 computer system that has come under fire recently over various technical problems.
