Last year, the Global Citizen Festival inspired thousands of people to take action locally to make a difference in the world. And this year, the second annual Global Citizen Festival, in proud partnership with the Cotton On Foundation, is back to continue the fight. On Saturday, September 28th, 60,000 of them will meet at Central Park's Great Lawn for the Global Citizen Festival.
Featuring performances by Stevie Wonder, Kings of Leon, Alicia Keys and John Mayer, this free ticketed concert aims to celebrate the achievements made toward ending extreme poverty, and provide world leaders with a clear and compelling mandate to accelerate progress on the issues of education, women's equality, global health, and global partnerships to help end extreme poverty by 2030.
Tickets to the 2013 Festival can be earned by taking action through the Global Citizen platform at globalfestival.com.
