Angela Bassett is known as one of the best actresses in Hollywood. From 'Whats Love Got To Do With It' to 'Black Panther' she has starred in several films important to the culture. She has also portrayed many important figures in Biopics including Tina Turner, Betty Shabazz and Rosa Parks.
According to BET News, the Golden Globe winning actress has an idea of who should would be interested in seeing play her in a film based on her life. As she had to think deeply about her answer, she paused to consider all the young black talented actresses she admires today during an interview with Candice Williams on ABC Radio Networks.
"I don't know, there's so many phenomenal young actresses out here today."
She later decided on two women mentioning,
"Theres you know, the incredible Anika Noni Rose and Naturi Naughton and on and on and on. Just beautiful, and thats just two of a list of many, just beautiful, sisters."
Angela Bassett has worked with both women previously on different projects. Naturi Naughton was her co star on the movie 'Notorious.' She also allegedly became close friends with Noni Rose, after both actresses were due to co star in Disney's "The Princess and the Frog."
"I appreciate their work and love them, they can play me, if they so choose to...bring more talent to the table," Bassett stated, about both actresses.
Hopefully one day we will be able to see this film turn into reality starring one of the young actresses.
