It's looking more and more like in-game concerts on Fortnite will become the new normal for the world, at-least for now. With Travis Scott's "Astronomical" event in Fortnite last week drawing the biggest numbers the game has ever seen with 12.3 million players all hopping on the game at one time.
As the Battle Royal style game becomes a new home for artists in the music industry it looks to duplicate the success of the Travis Scott event to some level.
Last night (Friday, May 1st), Only less than an hour before it started Fortnite announced that they would be having their FIRST live in game concert with none other than the music group Major Lazer (Travis Scott and Marshmello were obviously pre-made events). At 9pm EST Diplo from the trio broadcasted LIVE into the game doing a 20 minute set with some of Major Lazer's biggest hit records!
